PON Meeting Wednesday

OXFORD - Promote Oxford Now (PON) invites anyone interested to attend their meeting on Wednesday, March 14, at 7 p.m., at 6 On The Square, 6 LaFayette Park in downtown Oxford. PON is a nonprofit organization, mostly made up of local business people, that seeks to promote the Oxford business community, to recognize and maintain Oxford's historic nature and to respect its hometown character and culture.

All bimonthly PON meetings (held the third Wednesday, every other month), begin promptly at 7 p.m., and are open to anyone that wishes to participate. The intent of PON is to spark new interest in different ways to encourage Oxford businesses to get more publicity and create more interest and tourism in the town.

Items on the agenda include possible additional Village signage; coordinating a summer festival with an existing event (such as a picnic, fireworks, BBQ, food, artisans, etc.), to help bring more people into Oxford; and a shopping passport. Come share your ideas, and offer help and suggestions. Refreshments will be served.
