Bicentennial Celebration News

The Objective of the Village Bicentennial Celebration is to:

  • -Recognize the long history of the Village of Oxford,
  • -Educate current generations of residents of their role in continuing to build on the history of Oxford and
  • -Implement a Celebration that favorably impacts the historical and visual image of Oxford and continues to portray the village as an appealing place to live or work.

May 31st - June 6th is NYS Museum Week - Celebrate! Visit Theo. Burr Covered Bridge Resource Center for tours and see the Brady Civil War & Covered Bridges photo Exhibit in Oxford Memorial Library Community Room.

June 2nd, 1 PM, a power-point presentation of Covered Bridges and Their Role in the Civil War at Oxford Library Community Room. Get autographed copies of FLAMES BEYOND GETTYSBURG by Scott L. Mingus, Sr.

June 7th, 5-8 PM, annual Oxford Student Art Show - Opening Reception at 6 On The Square.

June 12th, 7:00 PM, Oxford American Legion Auxiliary Meeting at Legion Hall.

June 13th, 7:30 PM, Oxford Town Board Meets at Town Hall. (2nd Weds.)
