Bicentennial Celebration News

For inquiries or to get involved "making new history" contact the Village Hall, 843-2512 or vgoxford@stny.rr.com.

The Objective of the Village Bicentennial Celebration is to:

  • -Recognize the long history of the Village of Oxford,
  • -Educate current generations of residents of their role in continuing to build on the history of Oxford and
  • -Implement a Celebration that favorably impacts the historical and visual image of Oxford and continues to portray the village as an appealing place to live or work.

July 12th, 9-Noon, Oxford Farmer's Market, Celebration of Ag - “Dairy Treat Saturday.” You could have an Ives Cream parfait with Upstate Harvest granola on top!

July 15th, 7 PM, Bicentennial Planning & Parade Meeting at 6 On The Square. All welcome.

July 17th, 7:30 PM, Oxford Community Band's Thursday night summer concert in LaFayette Park FREE. Bring a blanket/chair.

July 19th, 9 AM - Noon, at the Oxford Farmers' Market: Celebration of Ag - Handspinners Group Gathering: “Tie-Dye T-shirts” in LaFayette Park.

July 19th, noon-4 PM, Early Living Skills Fair at the Oxford Historical Society's Depot-Museum. FREE fun events and take home crafts. Food available.

July 19th, 7 PM, "Songs of the Canal" by The Dady Brothers -concert in LaFayette Park presented by 6 On the Square. Bring a chair - FREE concert.

July 20th, at 3 PM, the Joe Crookston Trio, in LaFayette Park, FREE concert presented by 6OTS. Bring a chair and listen to historic songs of the Finger Lakes.
