Faith Bible Church team back from New Orleans relief efforts Feb. 11, 2006

The "Faith Works" team from Faith Bible Church, 45 Butler Street in Oxford, has returned from their 7 days work trip and they are ready to report on their efforts in New Orleans. The team left New York on Saturday February 4th and flew to New Orleans where for the next seven days they worked very hard in getting 5 different homes closer to re-occupancy by their owners. Part of the team worked in doing finish work such as dry walling, spackling door hanging. The other part of the team put in some long hard days "mucking" out homes which had not been touched since they were struck by Hurricane Katrina in September. In total the team worked on 5 different homes and had an amazing emotional experience relating to the people of New Orleans. The ladies of the group also hosted a LADIES TEA TIME for a group of women from Berean Bible Church who had lost almost everything in the storm. Team members from Faith Bible Church who traveled to New Orleans and are ready to tell everyone about their experiences were Pastor Norman Holtz, Edith Holtz, Jim Rotundo, Leon Barrows, Mike Bickos , Kyle Bickos, Ed Kasprzak, Rodney Aldrich, Janet Aldrich, and Neal Jorgensen. Elmer and Adelaide Aldrich joined the team in their motor home from Florida making a total of 12 team members.
